“You want me to tweet what?!”

I love to write books. I do. Not sure why, but it could have something to do with being able to edit my words several, several, several times. That way I don’t need to feel such urgency to have my mouth covered with a good sturdy layer of duct tape to keep my foot out of it. That delete, back-space, copy/paste stuff is wonderful!

However, I should be truthful and admit that this whole social media craze baffles me. (Maybe I shouldn’t be so honest.) I love some blogs, but honestly, who cares what I have to say or what I’m doing? There are children to raise, meals to prepare, cancer to cure, world peace (whirled peas) to facilitate etc. Okay, so that’s not exactly what a writer is supposed to say. (Where is that duct tape when I need it?) But, I had to get it off my chest.

So… My solution is this. I will try my best to make sure that any blog posts, Facebook posts, tweets or whatever are of value. Even if that value is only to make you smile. After all, smiles are intrinsically priceless, and at least someone can benefit from some of the lunacy that goes on in my life.

Maybe what happens in the Hawkes’ household isn’t always productive, but typically it’s very entertaining! I truly hope ya’all have a wonderfully smile-filled day!
